Around Annapurna Trek is one of the most popular
and the best trekking trail in the world and
offers the most diversity of any trekking trail
in Nepal with fascinating ethnic groups each
with their own dialects, culture, costumes,
splendid mountains and the green terraced farmland
of the Marshyangdi valley and the arid landscape
like Tibet of Manang and Mustang yet remarkably
beautiful with snow capped peaks forming a contrast
to the eroded hillsides below.
We have a rest in Manang for acclimatization
and side trek to the Tilicho lake, but a wonderful
experience and an ideal acclimatization for
Thorong la. From Khangsar you can easily go
directly to Thorong Phedi in one day. We trek
beneath snow-capped Annapurna II, III and IV
and a range of 6,000m/20,000ft peaks stretching
north to Tibet. Crossing Thorong La pass (5,416m/17,770ft)
to reach the holy shrine of Muktinath. We trek
down into the world's deepest river gorge, carved
by the mighty Kali Gandaki, as it cuts between
the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The river is followed
to the relaxing hot springs at Tatopani before
trekking to Poon Hill for our last sunrise over
the Annapurnas. At the end we trek through a
wonderful rhododendron forest on the Gorepani
ridge and the beautiful Gurung villages before
drive back to Pokhara
Trekking from Moderate to rigorous between
2,000m/8,000ft and 4,400m/14,500ft with one
pass crossing of 5,416m/17,700ft. Staying in
comfortable family run teahouses or lodges along
the Annapurna circuit trekking route. This is
a beautiful three-weeks trek that passes through
the interesting villages of the Annapurna ciruit
with opportunities to view wildlife, wildflowers
whilst staying in some of the best lodges in
Nepal. The trek starts in Besisahar and ends
in Pokhara. Clients carry daypack only and walk
at their own pace accompanied by an experienced
trek guide and porter to carry luggage.
