This week-long trek in the Annapurna foothills to the view point of Poon Hill offer all the best of trekking in Nepal including staying in comfortable family run tea-houses  along the way. Enjoy trekking in the spectacular  mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by the Gurung s, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque fluted peak of  Machapuchhare (fish Tail Peak) dominating the skyline. At the climax of this trek you will climb Poon Hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountain-scape on earth. As the sun touches the snowcapped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m.) along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before your eyes. A Rewarding trek that can be enjoyed by every lover of nature and beautiful landscape.

Staying in comfortable family run teahouses along the trekking route. This is a beautiful short trek that passes through the fascinating Gurung and Magar villages of the Annapurna Conservation Area, with opportunities to view wildlife, wildflowers and of course the Annapurna sunrise whilst staying in tea-houses in Nepal. The trek starts and ends in Pokhara. Clients carry daypack only and walk at their own pace accompanied by an experienced trek guide and porter to carry luggage.

 

 

 

  • Day 1: Drive Pokhara to Phedi. Trek to Dhampus.
  • Day 2: Trek to Landruk.
  • Day 3: Trek to Gandruk.
  • Day 4: Trek to Tarapani/Banthanti.
  • Day 5: Trek to Gorepani.
  • Day 6: Visit Poon Hill. Trek to Tirkedunga.
  • Day 7: Trek to Birethanti and  drive back to Pokhara.
