The well-known Himalayan traveler and mountaineer Bill Tilman said of Langtang that it was 'one of the world's most beautiful valleys'. Can be seen in the clear months from view points within the Kathmandu, they form a signaling backdrop beyond the valley rim. The Langtang Valley ranges eastwards from the Bhote Khosi and ends vividly in a high mountain wall that is a natural border with Tibet.

The closeness of Langtang Valley to Kathmandu makes it a very attractive trekking plan. On this trek you will walk through three different regions that have their own diverse attractiveness- the snow-capped peaks of the high Langtang valley, the sharp beauty of Gosainkund Lake and its settlements and the rich cultural heritage of the Helambu region.

Trekking up the Langtang valley provides the chance to walk through thick forest, where you may be able to spot the mysterious red panda or the langur monkey. In spring the forest bursts into red and pink with the flowering of the rhododendron trees. The higher part of the valley encircled by beautiful snowcapped peaks. Trekking down through the low, lush country, you will Tamang women carrying wood and locals cultivating in their fields. The trek to Gosainkund and trek over the Laurebina La takes you through some of Nepal’s most remote country. The excitement of crossing the Laurebina La decorated with of prayer flags and surrounded by stone waymarks, down into the Helambu.
